If you're new to following Jesus or just new to Rock Haven Church, our First Steps course is a great place to begin growing deeper in your faith. This 3-session course meets in the fall and covers the basics of surrendering you life to Jesus.

• Surrender - Explores why surrender is essential to our individual lives and the life of the church.  
• Abide - Prepares you to stay faithfully connected to Jesus through prayer, obedience to God's Word, and connection with a local church.
• Serving & Stewardship - Jesus told us that He came not to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. This session explores why serving and generosity are foundational to living like Jesus.

ACTIONS

Some first steps to begin following Jesus include: 

• Have A Conversation - If you have questions about Jesus, the Bible, faith, or life in general, maybe your first step is to set up a time to have a conversation with one of our pastors. Contact us and we'd love to talk through any questions you might.
• Be Baptized - If you've put your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, the next step is to declare your faith publicly through baptism. We have multiple baptism services during the year. Contact us and lets talk about your next steps to get baptized!
• Worship With Us - To worship and glorify God is why we exist. Maybe your first step is to join us for our Sunday worship services.

Our Next Steps course is a great place to continue growing deeper in your faith. This 3-session course meets in the spring and covers the basics of what it means to be a part of God's church.

• What Is The Church? - Explores what the church truly is and identifies the marks of a healthy church
• What Is The Mission Of The Church? - What does God expect the primary focus of His church to be? How do we faithfully live out this mission? 
• Who Is Rock Haven Church? - Explains our history, core values, and the expectations of membership with Rock Haven Church.

Some first steps to begin following Jesus include: 

• Serve - Maybe your next step is to find a ministry team to serve with as part of Rock Haven Church. Contact us and let's talk about the various volunteer opportunities we have available. Along with serving with Rock Haven Church, begin looking for opportunities to regularly serve your family, your neighbors, and your community as well. 
• Join A Group - Getting connected to a smaller group of people who are likewise focused on growing deeper in their relationships with Jesus is essential to you growing in your faith. We have different types of groups available. Contact us and we can help you find the right connection.
• Become A Member - If you're interested in membership with Rock Haven Church, first complete our First Steps and Next Steps courses. These courses are essential in helping people understand church membership and the expectations of membership. If you've completed both of these courses, contact us to set up a time to discuss the membership application process with a pastor.

Our Deeper Steps classes are intended to help you on your continual journey of becoming more and more like Jesus. These are once-a-month classes that cover various topics and meet in the fall and spring.

ACTIONS

Some first steps to begin following Jesus include: 

• INVITE - Who's someone you can invite to know and follow Jesus along with you? Invite them to join you for worship on a Sunday, or to be a part of your Impact Group, or to just have a conversation about faith. 
• GENEROSITY - Through giving, God invites us to joyfully join Him in the kingdom work He is doing in our hearts, in our communities, in our nation, and in the world. God calls His people to be abundantly generous because God Himself has been so abundantly generous to us. Giving, therefore, is an act of worship to our good and gracious God. You can take a step deeper in your faith by regularly supporting the work God is doing through Rock Haven Church. Give today.
• START A GROUP - God calls us to be disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ (Mathew 28:19-20; 2 Timothy 2:2). Maybe the most important next step you can take in your faith is to begin helping other people take next steps in their faith. Starting an Impact Group or a Discipleship Group is one way to do that. We can train you, help you get started, and support you along the way. Contact us today about starting a group. 
• MISSION TRIP - Going on a short-term mission trip can also help you grow deeper in your faith. It helps you see how big our God truly is as we works in other parts of our state, nation, and world.
